Tóm tắt Severe Cutaneous Adverse Reaction (SCAR) due to drugs is a group of drug allergic reactions that cause serious damage to the skin and mucous membranes, and in severe cases can cause death. Epilepsy drugs and antibiotics often have a higher rate of causing SCAR than other drugs. Many studies have shown an association between carbamazepine-induced SCAR and HLA alleles, especially HLA-B*15:02 in many Southeast Asian countries. This study was conducted prospectively on patients who agreed to participate in hospital research for 1 year in 2023 at Hai Phong International General Hospital, to develop and evaluate a patient screening method. carrying the HLA-B*15:02 genotype when using Carbamazepine to treat epilepsy in Vietnam
