Tóm tắt This text presents principles of the structure, function, and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. It addresses the needs of those dealing with patients who have orthopaedically based movement disfunction. Initial chapters review the skeletal and articular systems and manual therapy theory. Following chapters devoted to the spine and extremity joints emphasize normal and pathologic movement, and restoration of function by manual means. This material will provide clinicians with fundermental concepts from which they can initiate manual examination and treatment of their patients. It is hope that these concepts will serve as a stimulus for further investigation and clinical application, devoted to the continuing enhancement of patient care.
